- Greene (May 28, 1834 – November 15, 1891) was an American businessman and politician. Born in Salisbury, New York, in Herkimer County, New York, Greene moved with his parents to Milford, Wisconsin Territory, in 1847.
- He went to the University of Wisconsin and Beloit College.
- Greene lived in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin in 1853 and 1854 and was a merchant.
- He then moved back to Milford, Wisconsin and ran a milling business with his father.
- In 1883, he moved to Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin and served as mayor in 1887.
- He also served on the town board and the Jefferson County, Wisconsin Board of Supervisors.
- He also served as Jefferson County Treasurer.
- In 1862, Greene served in the Wisconsin State Assembly as a Democrat.
- In 1873 and 1874 and again in 1887 to 1891, Greene served in the Wisconsin State Senate.
- He died in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin while still in the Wisconsin Senate.
