- Knudson (June 26, 1903 – June 29, 1978) was an American attorney and Justice on the North Dakota Supreme Court from 1965 to 1975. Harvey Knudson was born in Finley, North Dakota.
- He was the son of Enok Knudson (1869-1946) and Josephine Emilia (Hansen) Knudson (1866-1950), both of whom were of Norwegian heritage.
- He attended elementary and high school in Finley.
- He received his law degree from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 1931 and started a practice in Finley, where he remained until 1937.
- In 1937 he moved to Mayville, North Dakota where he practiced until being elected to the Supreme Court.
- Justice Knudson served in the House of Representatives from 1937 to 1939 and in the State Senate from 1951 to 1959.
